Our Story
(From the Bride)

Edward and I both went to Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. Edward was majoring in Business Marketing and I was a Business Management major. We had a business class together and we were actually partners in a group project. The first time I saw Edward, I thought to myself: "Well, he's really cute, but he's a baseball player, so it will NEVER happen." I have to admit that I was a little judgmental, and thought that since he was a baseball player, that he would be a "player". However, at our first group meeting, my thoughts started to change. We talked quite a bit, and he started to seem "not so bad". By the end of that night, I thought that he was really nice, but still not someone I could see myself dating. At our next group project, everything changed. We talked the whole time and got NO class work done. We started talking every day and eventually went on our first date. Edward took me putt putt golfing and then to Carrabba's for dinner. We talked for two hours before we even ordered our dinner. I knew at that moment that Edward was someone that I could really see myself with. We have been inseparable ever since!
For New Year's Eve, Edward took me to the Melting Pot in St. Petersburg, Florida. The booth that Edward reserved was voted the #1 most requested and romantic booth in Central Florida. When we arrived he had rose petals scattered on the table and one single rose waiting for me. We had our amazing dinner, and then our dessert was served. There was a variety of desserts, including fortune cookies. Edward said, "Let's save the fortune cookies for last." It turned midnight while we were at the restaurant. After we shared our New Year’s kiss, Edward said, "Okay, time to open our fortune cookies." So I went first! I opened my cookie and the fortune said, "Will you marry me?" With tears in my eyes, I said "YES!" It was the most memorable and romantic moment of my life. I can't wait to marry my best friend, and hope that you will join us on our special day!
